The 2013-2014 Houston Rockets are looking like they will be a much better team than they have been in previous seasons.

With the additions of Dwight Howard and the topic of discussion Marcus Camby, this team could definitely crack the playoff picture with ease.

But them cracking the playoff picture is a different story, right now it’s about the role of veteran big man Marcus Camby. Camby was supposedly recruited by new big man Dwight Howard to join the Houston Rockets and well, it worked. But right now it’s unclear on the physical role Camby will be given with Howard and Omer Asik splitting majority of the minutes at center.

According to the Houston Chronicle, head coach Kevin McHale told the veteran center that there will be games this season where he won’t leave the bench.

"“I still have a lot to offer to the game, not just playing, but with my mind and all the battles and all the years I’ve been through, being placed in a situation we have a chance of winning with the talent we have on this team with Dwight and of course James (Harden) and Chandler (Parsons) and all the young guys we have.” Marcus Camby told the Houston Chronicle,"

Camby plans on coaching when his playing days are over, so maybe this role will be a step in the right direction if that’s what he wants to do.
