The Arizona Cardinals looked like a rejuvenated team Sunday with Carson Palmer throwing a pair of touchdown passes to wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who caught only two TDs during last year’s disastrous season.

Despite a nice showing, Fitzgerald’s Cardinals didn’t wind up on the winning side of the scoreboard in Week 1 in a 27-24 loss to the St. Louis Rams, and they’ll need him on the field if they want to avoid an 0-2 start this week against the Detroit Lions, and the All-Pro receiver was limited in practice today:

With an accurate, reliable QB in Palmer, Fitzgerald can go back to producing those All-Pro numbers. He was targeted 14 times Sunday, five times more than the next-highest Cardinals player. Going against the high-scoring Lions offense should make for a fun late-afternoon shootout in the desert.
