New York Giants running back David Wilson was plagued by his continued fumble issues in the season-opener against the Dallas Cowboys, so he called on another former Giant that suffered early career fumble issues of his own for some advice.

“He gave me some advice I can really use,” Wilson told  Bob Glauber of Newsday.  “It makes sense.  It felt good in practice, so I plan on using it.”

You can watch Glauber expand on the Wilson – Barber exchange on this episode of Pro Football Talk Live.

Hopefully for the Giants, Barber and fantasy owners that were hoping Wilson could lead them to a championship, the new high and tight method will help him avoid the fumbling issues moving forward.

Wilson has been a huge disappointment for the team, but if he can stop laying the rock on the ground he could be the guy that the team was hoping for.

The Giants continue their season on Sunday night with a tough match up against Eli’s brother, Peyton Manning, and the Denver Broncos.
