The St. Louis Rams are looking to keep the momentum going in their new season against the Atlanta Falcons. They’ll get a boost on defense because Rams defensive end Chris Long is expected to start today, his 81st consecutive start.

Chris Long made a surprising appearance on Friday’s injury report. He has been fighting off a hip injury.

Even though he was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report he was never in any real doubt to play Sunday. This week he’ll match up across from Falcons right tackle Lamar Holmes. Holmes fave up a sack, two quarterback hits, and five hurries in last week’s loss to the New Orleans Saints. Long should be able to have his way with Holmes and constantly be in Matt Ryan’s face.
