Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback E.J. Manuel enjoyed one of the best days of his football career on Sunday.

After a pretty good debut in a 23-21 loss to the New England Patriots in week one (18-of-27 for 150 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions), Manuel was even better in week two. The Florida State product was 27-of-39 for 296 yards with one touchdown and one interception in a 24-23 victory over the Carolina Panthers. His lone touchdown came on a two-yard game winning pass to wide receiver Stevie Johnson with two seconds left.

Before the final drive, one in which Manuel drove the Bills 80 yards in nine plays after taking over with just 1:38 to go, Manuel had some words of advice for his teammates.

“I just gave everyone a fist-bump and said, ‘Hey, let’s go be legendary,’” Manuel told Pro Football Talk Live on Tuesday.  “The whole situation played out great for us.  We handled the situation very well and Coach [Nathaniel] Hackett gave us some great calls and allowed us to make some great plays and great decisions.”

Manuel and the Bills will hit the road for the first time when they take on the New York Jets Sunday at 4:25 pm EST.
