The San Francisco 49ers have rushed for 190 yards in two games this season, tied for 17th in the NFL.  Perennial All-Pro running back Frank Gore has rushed for just 60 of those.

After rushing for over 1200 yards the past two seasons — including a 16 carry 131 yard performance and 16 carry 112 yard performance against Seattle and Green Bay, respectively, in 2012 – the slow start for Gore has 49ers fans concerned about the 30 year old rusher and the ground attack in general.

Frank Gore is well aware of the issue, and wants the 49ers to get better as a team on the ground.

“I’m frustrated by the loss, really. We have to get better in the running game,” Gore told 49ers.com’s Taylor Price. “We have to get it done. There are a lot of teams playing us (tough), we still have to find a way to get it done.”

Week 3 opponent Indianapolis ranks 29th against the rush so far this season, giving up 130 yards per game – so there may not be a better time than the present to get back on track for the 49ers.

“We have to find a way,” Gore said. “We have to get it done.”
