Veteran cornerback Antoine Winfield signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks in April, only to be one of the final roster cuts prior to the start of the NFL Season.

Rather than sign with another team and learn their defensive scheme while getting acclimated to a new team as the season began, Winfield opted to hang-up his cleats and retire.

So much for that. The 15-year pro is reportedly working out in hopes of attracting a CB-needy team:

The Buffalo Bills selected Winfield in the first round of the 1999 NFL Draft. As of now, the Houston Texans, Cincinnati Bengals, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons could all use help at CB while also looking like legitimate playoff teams. At this point, don’t expect to see Winfield sign with anyone that doesn’t look like a contender.

In his career, Winfield has 27 interceptions, 11 fumble recoveries and 7.5 sacks.
