The San Francisco 49ers need a rebound-win in the worst way after suffering a second-straight loss Sunday, and they now hit the road  in a divisional game against the St. Louis Rams.

They’ve already lost one of their top defensive players in Aldon Smith, and no one knows when he’ll return, so they need everyone else to play Thursday night against a Rams team that they were unable to defeat last year.

Two players they can’t afford to be without is All-Pro tight end Vernon Davis and All-Pro middle linebacker Patrick Willis, and both players were being listed as questionable for Thursday’s showdown vs the Rams.

As it turns out, Willis will miss the game while Davis will play.

Davis is dealing with a hamstring injury and missed the Week Three loss to the Colts, practiced Monday and Tuesday on a limited basis.

Willis has a groin injury and didn’t practice on Monday or Tuesday.
