The Tennessee Titans impressive start to the season may have taken a devastating blow. Starting quarterback Jack Locker was blasted in the chest by New York Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson early in the third quarter, before taking another blow as he made his way down to the ground.

Locker’s foot was planted awkwardly when he took the second hit and he immediately reached for his hip.

Here is a GIF of the injury, via CJ Fogler on Twitter:

Locker was in obvious pain and reached for his right hip before laying flat on his back and keeping movement at a minimum. Wasting no time, the team called for the cart and strapped Locker to a straight before taking him off the field. Locker’s right leg was immobilized on the cart and he remained in clear pain.

In an effort to calm the crowd, Locker gave the thumbs up to the crowd as he was leaving the field.

The Titans were winning, 24-6, at the time of the injury.

Locker was one of only two quarterbacks to start every game this season without throwing an interception. The other was Peyton Manning.

You obviously hope that the injury is not as bad as it looks, especially with how impressive of a turnaround Locker was making this season, but it sure didn’t look good.

We will update you on his injury as more information becomes available.
