New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes has suffered another injury. He was fighting to get back on the football field after suffering a Lisfranc fracture. After getting back on the field he suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s match up against the Tennessee Titans.

The Jets are going to sign wide receiver David Nelson to provide depth at the position. The Jets could also be without Stephen Hill who suffered a concussion. The Jets look like they’ll struggle against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night football with a lack of weapons. Quarterback Geno Smith will rely heavily on their tight ends Kellen Winslow and Jeremy Kerley.

Holmes had been fairly effective this season too. His stats through the first 3 games paint a good picture with 9 catches for 218 yards. Looking closer at the stats most of those numbers came in one game, the win over the Buffalo Bills. Holmes caught 5 passes for 154 yards and his lone touchdown that game.
