After the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Cincinnati Reds 6-2 to win the wild card game and advance into the National League Division Series against the St. Louis Cardinals, the wife of a Reds player took to twitter to share her experience.

Dallas Latos, the wife of Reds’ pitcher Mat Latos, claimed she was attacked by Pirates fans at the game. She explained the entire event through twitter.

To sum things up, Latos claims she was “ambushed in the Budweiser bar, grabbed by the hair, drug down & punched in the head multiple times.” She also said she was issued multiple threats, called nasty words and was simply trying defending the honor of another players’ grandmother (Pro Hardball Talk organized the tweets here).

Despite claiming they don’t dispute Latos’ story, the police have declined to press charges because they “are characterizing it as an altercation between several drunk and/or drinking fans, implying that they include Latos in that crowd” and are considering the matter “closed.”

Latos has a lot to say on twitter, you can check that out, @DallasLatos.
