Jake Locker saw no malicious intent in hit from Jets

Speaking to reporters for the first time since suffering a hip injury against the New York Jets, Tennessee Titans quarterback Jake Locker clarified that he didn’t think there was any malicious intent behind the hit. The third-year-pro out of Washington is expected to miss four-to-six weeks of playing time.
Said Locker:
"I didn’t feel like that on the field and after watching it, you know, it wasn’t anything malicious. I kind of got bounced into the second guy. I didn’t feel like they were out to get me, no (USA Today Sports)."
Though it’s good news that Locker won’t miss too much of the season, his absence will certainly be a blow to a Tennessee Titans team that is 3-1 so far this year. Before suffering the injury, Locker was completing a career-best 62.2% of his passes and had thrown six touchdowns to no interceptions.
We wish Locker the best in his recovery. The Tennessee Titans will host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
