New England Patriots running back Stevan Ridley was absent from the beginning of practice on Wednesday. Ridley doesn’t appear to be suffering from any injury. He played and looked healthy in Sunday night’s game. In Sunday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons Ridley carried the ball 11 times for 53 yards.

This could simply just be a day of rest for the running back and nothing more. There certainly isn’t anything to indicate that it is injury related.

Stevan Ridley leads the New England Patriots in rushing this season. He has 47 carries for 174 yards and an average of 3.7 yards per carry. LeGarrette Blount has also rushed 34 times for 155 yards.

We’ll keep an eye out for details as they emerge. If there is any clarification as to why he was absent form practice, we’ll let you know.
