WWE BattleGround Results: Damien Sandow vs Dolph Ziggler

Hello ladies and gentleman and welcome to FanSided’s WWE BattleGround coverage!

Tonight will feature a big card that will surely live up to the new pay per views name. This first match up is the kick-off showdown between Damien Sandow and Dolph Ziggler.

First man out to the ring is Intellectual Savior of the Masses and World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank holder Damien Sandow. He comes out of course cutting a promo, dropping some knowledge on the WWE Universe and how he’s going to take apart Dolph Ziggler.

He always says that he’s going to be watching the hardcore rules World Heavyweight Championship match between Alberto Del Rio and Rob Van Dam.

Ziggler’s music hit and the Show Off makes his way to the ring to a standing ovation from the WWE Universe.

The bell kicks off and both men lock up. Sandow quickly gets Ziggler into a headlock and takes him down to the mat. Sandow hits a shoulder block that sends him to the mat as he taunts him afterwards shouting ‘You’re Welcome’.

Sandow hits a click kick to the gut and a headbutt but gets pushed into the corner and launched over Ziggler with a back body drop. Ziggler unleashes his flurry of signature elbows. Sandow gains momentum as he irish whips Ziggler over the top turnbuckle.

Damien tries to hit a suplex on Ziggler but gets rolled up in a small package. Sandow kicks out and clotheslines the former World Heavyweight Champion. He hits a snap suplex, covers Ziggler but picks up a two count.

He goes to pull Dolph to his feet but catches a shot to the chin. He then rushes Ziggler but gets side stopped, pulls himself to the top turnbuckle and catches a drop kick to the forearm after looking to attempt an aerial maneuver.

Both men are down looking to answer the refs 10 count. Sandow rushes Ziggler but gets pushed aside as Ziggler hits a running clothesline then his signature splash followed by 10 right hands to the head of his opponent. Dolph pulls him away after climbing down from the turnbuckle and delivers a spinning neckbreaker.

Sandow attempts a sun set flip but Ziggler counters and goes for a pin which only gets him a two count. Ziggler kiccks Sandow in the back of the knee and catches him with a Zig Zag to pick up the victory.

WINNER: Dolph Ziggler
