Here we go, New England Patriots fans. The news that you have been waiting to hear has finally come with the news that tight end Rob Gronkowski is expected to be medically cleared this week which will set him up for a return to the field against the New Orleans Saints this weekend.

The news comes from Pro Football Talk.

It would be great timing for Gronkowski’s return, with the Patriots coming off of their first loss of the season to the Cincinnati Bengals. New Orleans will also be looking to rebound from a loss, so we will be treated to some intense football between two of the best teams in the league.

Gronkowski will give the Patriots offense a boost and provide Tom Brady with a reliable target that he has lacked throughout the first five weeks, which has to be exciting for Brady.

We can expect plenty of touchdowns from the tight end position during the match up between Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski (if he returns), so buckle up and get ready for some fun. If you’re lucky, Patriots fans, a Gronk smash will soon be coming to an endzone near you.
