The 2-3 Philadelphia Eagles are looking at this game against the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an opportunity to move to .500 and stay in the lead of the NFC East division.

Unfortunately for the Eagles, the Buccaneers are coming off a bye week and should have plenty of rest and preparation for this game. They certainly don’t view the Eagles as a team that would be impossible to beat.

Prediction:

The Eagles lost Michael Vick to injury and it looks like Nick Foles will start at quarterback. The Buccaneers are moving on with from the Josh Freeman era with Mike Glennon at quarterback. While I think that the Buccaneers secondary matches up well against Philadelphia’s wide receivers I think the Eagles will win.

DeSean Jackson disagrees though.

“I don’t think he can run with me. I don’t think he’s as fast as me,” Jackson said. “… We’re not going to make it into a one-on-one battle, me versus Revis. It’s the Eagles versus Tampa Bay. At the end of that game, as long as we’re winning, that’s all that matters to me.”

The rookie quarterback, the turmoil in the locker room, they’ll struggle to keep up with the Eagles offensive output. Their defense will get worn out as well.

I’m picking the Eagles to win.
