After defeating the Washington Redskins 31-16 Sunday night in a key NFC East game, the Dallas Cowboys got bad news regarding their star pass rusher, defensive end DeMarcus Ware.  Ware pulled his quadriceps in the game and will likely be out at least three weeks.

While Ware won’t play in Sunday’s game against the 3-3 Philadelphia Eagles, who the Cowboys share the NFC East lead with, he doesn’t expect to be out long.

“My body recovers really fast,” Ware told Todd Archer and Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. “I’m not going to be out that long.”

Although he wants to get back right away, Ware knows, as of right now, he’s not ready to go.

“It wouldn’t be 100 percent if I had to go out and play right now,” Ware said. “There wouldn’t be a point to this day. If I had to play I wouldn’t. I couldn’t get off the ball.”

On the season, the nine-year pro out of Troy has 19 tackles, four sacks and an interception.

The Cowboys and Eagles will kickoff at 1:00 pm EST Sunday.
