Marvin Lewis praises Andy Dalton and disses Carson Palmer

While Dalton has certainly won more and been to the playoffs as many times as Palmer, it’s hard to compare Dalton to Palmer at his best.
Still, it was nice to see Lewis defend his quarterback, and he took it a step further when describing the team’s expectations of what Dalton could become:
"“We’re asking for Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers right now, today.”"
High praise, but high expectations nonetheless. For a team that clearly looks ready to win in the postseason, Lewis knows, at least this year, Dalton will be the one who leads this team to its first playoff win in two decades if this is the year it happens.
