The undefeated Denver Broncos came into this game against the win-less Jacksonville Jaguars as heavy favorites. The Jaguars didn’t buckle and go down easily though. The Jaguars were only the second team this season to hold them to under 40 points. At half-time and midway through the third quarter, the Jaguars were within 2 points of the Broncos.

“Sometimes, you score a lot of points and people take it for granted,” Manning said, per The Associated Press. “Even people in your own building can take it for granted. It’s not easy to win football games. I learned a long time ago, don’t take winning for granted.”

Winning their next game will be an even tougher task. The Broncos are traveling to Indianapolis to take on Manning’s former team the Colts. It will be an emotionally charged game, but it will be a tough one too. The Colts have done well under Andrew Luck and sit at 4-1 before tonight’s game against the San Diego Chargers.

The message from Manning to his teammates remains the same though. Don’t take it for granted.

“I learned long ago never to take winning for granted, and sometimes you have to remind your own players that it’s tough to win in the NFL,” Manning said.
