New York Giants running back David Wilson hasn’t had the season that many had hoped for and he will remain sidelined for at least a few more weeks before he gets a shot to end the season with a bang.

While fumbles plagued the early part of Wilson’s season, it is the injuries that have taken their toll now.

Wilson suffered a neck injury that many thought could end his season, but he will not need surgery and it is expected that he will be able to return by the end of the year. According to the most recent ESPN report, Wilson will miss at least three to four more games before making his return.

With injuries to Wilson, Da’Rell Scott and Andre Brown, the Giants have just Brandon Jacobs and Michael Cox as healthy running backs. Jacobs is also dealing with an injury of his own, which held him out of the team’s Monday practice.

Don’t be surprised to see the Giants add a veteran running back during the week to add depth to the position where they desperately need it.
