Houston Texans star defensive end J.J. Watt knows its simple for Texans fans: they want wins.

“Our fans don’t want to hear about how we’re going to fix it,” Watt told Tania Ganguli of ESPN.com. “They don’t want to hear me stand up here and tell them anything. They don’t want to hear the words I have to say, they just want to see results. I fully understand that. All I can do is go to work. All we can do as a team is go to work. That’s what we’re going to do. Words don’t win games, work does. I’ll be on the practice field working. Watching the film, working. That’s all I can do, that’s all we can do as a team.”

On the season, Watt has 28 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

Over the last few seasons, the Texans have become a legitimate threat in the AFC. However, this season they are off to a 2-4 start.

Watt has a good understanding of fans’ opinions – they believe talk is cheap and you need to prove it on the field.

Sounds like Watt believes the same thing.

The Texans will be in Kansas City to take on the unbeaten Chiefs Sunday at 4:25 pm EST.
