The Chicago Bulls have a to look forward to this season with the return of MVP and point guard Derrick Rose returning. They went 45-37 without him in the 2012-13 season and made the playoffs. They lost in the semifinals to the eventual champions, the Miami Heat. A pretty successful season without your best player.

Last night’s game was Derrick Rose’s first game back with the Bulls. Sure it was just a preseason game, but it was still great to see him out in uniform on the court for the Bulls.

He played well scoring a game high 22 points, went 1 of 2 from downtown, and had a couple of rebounds and assists. The most incredible of the plays though might have been this acrobatic lay-up as the second quarter was winding down.

He crosses up his defender at the arc, goes to the right and drives to the basket. His defender cuts in and he kind of stops and tries to go back inside but loses his balance or gets tripped up and begins to fall to the ground. He threw up the ball and it went in, meanwhile the announcer was yelling “ooh killem.”

The “Ooh Killem” line was made famous by  Cousin Terio and his videos. Rapper Meek Mill even used the “Ooh Killem” in a diss track for Kendrick Lamar.

It was an awesome call till the announcer ruined it during the replay by uttering “welcome to Rose University, class is in session” in a weird and creepy voice.
