San Francisco 49ers all about ‘business’ in London

San Francisco sits at 5-2 on the season and have won four games in a row.  Their next game up is against the winless Jacksonville Jaguars – from Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday.

Easy, right?

Don’t tell that to 49ers running back Frank Gore, who is treating this week like any other week.

“Stay focused,” Gore said, according to CSNBayArea.com’s Matt Maiocco. “As a team we have to treat it like a business trip. We’re here for a game. Jacksonville is an NFL team, and we have to be ready. We have to be ready. We can’t look at their record. We have to be ready and focused.”

Wide receiver Anquan Boldin concurred with that sentiment.

“I think you have to make it as normal as possible,” 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin said. “Although you are out of your element, you have to try to stick to your schedule. You have to continue to do the things that you have done up to this point. It’s a task because we are going across seas. For myself and a lot of the guys, I think we will try to stick to our routines as much as possible.”

Following this week, both Jacksonville and San Francisco have a bye week – only fair when having to travel all the way to England.

For the 49ers, they flew straight from Tennessee to Great Britain, and will return home to face Carolina on November 10th.  After that?  On the road again, with consecutive trips to New Orleans and the Washington Redskins.
