New York Jets TE Jeff Cumberland expected to play Sunday

The New York Jets will come into Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday with most of their key players healthy and ready to roll in this AFC showdown, but one player who may not be operating at 100% is tight end Jeff Cumberland.

For now, Cumberland is the Jets’ No. 1 TE with Kellen Winslow suspended, but he rode an exercise bike during practice today. He sustained a hamstring injury during Sunday’s victory over the New England Patriots, but head coach Rex Ryan said he thinks he’ll be ready to go Sunday vs the Bengals:

"“I think he’s going to be okay,” Ryan said today after practice."

The fourth-year TE came into the season with 32 career receptions, but already has 14 this year, and 10 of those have come in the previous three games. Cumberland played behind Kellen Winslow through the first month. He was shut out in the first two weeks against the Buccaneers and Patriots, but had his breakout performance in Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons, when he caught three passes for 79 yards and a TD.
