A couple months back, we were talking about the possibility of the Curry brothers teaming up on the court together for the Golden State Warriors. However, that will no longer be the case.

It has been announced on Friday that the Warriors have waived three players, and extended the contracts of three others.According to the Associated Press,

"The Warriors waived guard Seth Curry, center Dewayne Dedmon and forward Joe Alexander. They also exercised the fourth-year contract option on shooting guard Klay Thompson and the third-year contract options on forward Harrison Barnes and center Festus Ezeli for the 2014-15 season, as expected."

Seth Curry, the younger brother of Steph, signed with the Warriors on August 22. He was an undrafted free agent out of Duke before signing with the team. He didn’t play most of the summer because he was recovering from surgery on his knee and shin.

Seth’s stats weren’t quite what the Warriors were looking for this preseason, and they probably led to his release from the team.

"Seth Curry appeared in six preseason games and averaged 2.2 points and one assist in 7.2 minutes. Dedmon played in five games, averaging 3.4 points and four rebounds in 10.3 minutes. Alexander did not appear in the preseason because of a stress reaction in his left leg."

But don’t count the possibility of the Curry brothers teaming up completely out, Warriors fans. If he isn’t picked up by another team, Seth Curry will likely play for Golden State’s NBA Developmental team, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
