Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos — Really, is there any doubt that he would lead the team? 2,919 passing yards and 29 touchdowns through eight weeks is all you need to know.

Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers — Rivers is having a career resurgence this season and he seems to finally be maturing. Unlike last season, Rivers is taking care of the ball much better with only 5 interceptions through eight weeks. Add in the 2,132 passing yards and 15 touchdowns and you can’t deny him a spot on the roster. For good measure, Rivers has the top completion percentage in the AFC among starting quarterbacks at 73.9.

Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals — Dalton started off the season rough, but he has turned things around and led the Bengals to the top of the AFC North. The Bengals are also one of the top ten teams in the league, but they wouldn’t be there without Dalton’s 2,249 yards and 16 touchdowns.

It’s tough to leave out a guy like Andrew Luck, but only three could make the cut.
