The Houston Texans are dealing with injuries to their top-two running backs. All-Pro Arian Foster is dealing with a hamstring injury that is considered minor, but it could be enough to keep him out this week vs the Indianapolis Colts.

Not only is he ailing, but backup Ben Tate broke four ribs and while he hopes to play in Week 9, his status will be in doubt leading up to the Sunday night AFC South showdown.

According to Brian Smith of the Houston Chronicle, Tate practiced today and said earlier this week he expects to play Sunday night against the Colts.

Foster didn’t practice Wednesday but ran on the side with trainers, and coach Gary Kubiak wasn’t ready to rule him out.

"“Arian went out and stretched, did some stuff and did some walkthrough. And then he worked with the trainers,” Kubiak said. “I think he’s going to do everything he can to be there. But I think it’ll be an end of the week decision, so we’ll see. He did do some things, just not with the team once we got going.”"
