Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher DeMarcus Ware has been dealing with a quad injury that has forced him out of action for the past few weeks, but it looks like he is one step closer to playing on Sunday for the team’s Week 9 match up against the Minnesota Vikings.

Ware has yet to return to the team’s practice, but he feels that he is almost ready to go and he declares himself a game-time decision.

From Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News:

While the Cowboys would obviously prefer to have Ware wreaking havoc on opposing signal-callers, they need to ensure he is 100 percent before making a return.

Ware has the type of issue that could take some time to heal and you can do more damage if you rush back, so the Cowboys would be wise to leave Ware out for at least one more week and then evaluate the situation.

However, you can only keep a player out of action so long.

Ware is probably licking his chops at the horrendous Minnesota Vikings offense and quarterback situation, so you can’t blame him for wanting to get out there and pad his stats.
