Redskins LB London Fletcher fined for horse-collar against Chargers
It looks like Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather wasn’t the one that fined this time.
The Washington Post is reporting that the NFL has fined Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher $15,750 for his horse-collar tackle of San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead.
The tackle came in the fourth quarter of the Redskins’ 30-24 overtime victory over the Chargers. At the time, Fletcher’s penalty drew a flag and a 15-yard penalty.
The 16-year veteran, who has played for the Redskins since 2007, had seven solo tackles and six assists in the game. For the year, Fletcher has 67 combined tackles, one sack, and two stuffs, according to ESPN.
Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall was not fined for his unnecessary roughness personal foul during the same game.
