The Arizona Cardinals are in what most believe to be the toughest division in football, in the NFC West. Currently they sit on a 4-4 record and are not really players in the West, but certainly find themselves fighting for a Wildcard spot.

The offseason was used to snatch up the oft injured Rashard Mendenhall from free agency, but he has been less than productive this season, battling… you guessed it, injury.

The problem this season has been a turf-toe injury, which is always a difficult one for a running back to play through. He is expected to be full-go against the Houston Texans today though and is looking to put the frustrations behind him.

“It’s frustrating because you’d like to have more yards as a running back – that’s frustrating – but that’s not been what it’s been,” Mendenhall said. “I know I’ve done all I can do so I’m OK with that.”

If the Cards are to make any move towards the Playoffs, they’ll need Mendenhall to be healthy. They could also use a win today against Houston.
