The Houston Texans made waves by releasing all-everything safety Ed Reed on early on Tuesday. According to multiple sources throughout the day it is a strong possibility that the Texans will sign former USC safety Jawanza Starling off of the New York Giants practice squad very soon.

The move certainly seems official in some capacity, as Jawanza himself is answering the congrats on the move.

It remains to be seen just where Starling would fit into the rotation, but for now they needed a roster spot filled there, as Shiloh Keo, Eddie Pleasant and D.J. Swearinger are the only three safeties on the roster.
