Houston Rockets’ forward Terrence Jones made a beautiful move in the first quarter of the Rockets’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers Wednesday night. Jones pump fakes, goes left, then finishes with his right hand. 76ers’ forward Thaddeus Young had no denfese for the move.

Despite being inserted into the starting lineup, Jones hasn’t played much for the Rockets. The 18th overall pick of the 2012 draft out of Kentucky is averaging just 9.6 minutes per game. Jones is averaging 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game for the Rockets this season.

The Rockets are considered a heavy favorite after they signed all-star center Dwight Howard to four-year max contract in the offseason. They have paired Howard with superstar swingman James Harden. They have other key pieces like forward Chandler Parsons and guards Jeremy Lin and Patrick Beverly.

Harden isn’t play tonight so that could mean more minutes for Jones.

Center Omer Asik, who has started alongside Howard for most of the season, is on the bench in favor of Jones, likely because the 76ers play a smaller, more athletic lineup.

The Rockets currently lead 31-28 at the end of the first quarter.
