The Houston Texans placed running back Arian Foster on the injured reserve list earlier this season because of a back injury. It was reported that Foster was going to undergo surgery after being placed on the injured reserve list, and Foster wasted no time getting the surgery taken care of.

Foster underwent his back surgery on Thursday, which is being called a success.

His surgery went well, and that’s about all I know,” Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said, via the Houston Chronicle. “I don’t normally have any more particulars on it. (He’ll) start the recovery process (now).”

The good news for Texans fans is that Foster can now begin his rehab and work towards getting healthy for next season.

Since Foster got the back surgery scheduled and completed as soon as he did, there should be no doubt that he will be able to return to the field in time for the Texans training camp next season. Hopefully he will be able to get back to top form and help the Texans put together the kind of season they anticipated heading into this year.
