This has to be some great news for both the Baltimore Ravens and their fan base as tight end Dennis Pitta will be returning to practice today according to BaltimoreRavens.com.

This will be Pitta’s first appearance since he had surgery on his dislocated hip back in July. The Baltimore Ravens have definitely missed his presence on the field and have to be very excited and pumped up now that he’s back in action.

With him coming back with six games left, he may be eased back into things. Pitta may not play on Sunday, but he should be ready to go by either next week or two. Either way, Pitta’s back and is ready to get the ball rolling.

Last season Pitta reeled in 61 receptions for nearly 700 yards with seven touchdowns as Baltimore rolled their way to a Super Bowl victory. He may not make that big of an impact right away, but when he’s 100 percent and getting majority of the snaps, he’ll make a huge difference.

Bringing back Pitta should also help open up the running game.
