Miami Dolphins’ center Mike Pouncey gave an update on suspended guard Richie Incognito on Wednesday.

“Me and him watched the game together at my house,” Pouncey told ESPN’s James Walker after Wednesday’s practice. “He’s doing really good. He’s in good spirits. He wants to get back on this football team and wants to get back and play football. Richie Incognito, the football player, so that’s the only thing he knows. He’s missing it to death. He’ll be alright.”

Pouncey has defended Incognito from the start and the two are obviously friends.

Wednesday also marked the return of Pouncey, who has been suffering from kidney and gallbladder issues, to practice. Pouncey missed the Dolphins’ 20-16 victory over the San Diego Chargers Sunday.

With Pouncey out of the lineup, the Dolphins, who had a poor offensive line to begin with, were missing three starters.

Incognito has a grievance hearing with the Dolphins on Thursday. He is not only looking for some kind of chance to return to football, but to get back some of the money he’s lost during his suspension.
