It’s no surprise that the New York Mets are eyeing some of the top free agent outfielders this market has to offer and I think they could sign two.

According to the New York Daily News, the Mets are interested in Curtis Granderson, Jhonny Peralta and Nelson Cruz. Peralta isn’t much of an outfielder, but he spent three games in left field in his last year with the Tigers.

Now when it comes to Granderson and Cruz, those two will cost them a pretty penny. But if the team has the money available to sign both, I don’t think anybody would complain. Cruz is coming off that suspension after being involved in that Biogensis scandal and Granderson had a disappointing season that involved some injuries.

Now both men can provide some power and great fielding, but they need to avoid either being suspended or injured. They would more than likely be able to get Granderson a tad bit cheaper than Cruz considering the type of year Curtis had.

The 32 year old outfielder watched his offensive production crawl to a stop after missing nearly 100 games of the season. Within the last three years with the New York Yankees, Granderson was able to hit over 108 home runs with 295 before hitting just seven home runs and 15 RBI’s in 2013.

If Cruz didn’t have to face that 50 game suspension, he would have easily added onto his numbers. Cruz hammered 27 long balls and recorded 76 RBI’s with a batting line of .266/.327/.506.

Now this question is for New York Mets fans. Which one or two would you like for your team to go after?
