New York Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley suffered a gruesome dislocated elbow in Week 9, but he appears to be ready to return to the field. According to reports on Friday, Kerley has a chance to return to the line up for this weekend’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Kerley returned to practice this week on a limited basis, but he was able to show improvement at Friday’s practice.

He will be listed as questionable for the team’s Week 12 match up, but there is still a chance that he will be able to suit up.

The team needs to have as many options as possible on the outside to help out rookie quarterback Geno Smith, who has been struggling over the past few weeks. Without any real options thanks to plenty of injuries to the wide receivers currently on the roster, Smith has looked lost.

If Kerley can return, the team hopes that he will be able to provide a reliable short-yardage option that they have desperately lacked.
