New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez is enjoying the life of a back up quarterback, which means no pressure and less scrutiny. Since being injured at the end of the preseason and losing his starting job to rookie Geno Smith, Sanchez has been able to stay out of the spotlight. However, now he is back at the best time ever.

On the one-year anniversary of the infamous Butt Fumble, Sanchez showed up at the Jets facility rocking a new hairdo — cornrows.

That’s right, “The Sanchize” has ditched the soccer style headband look in order to rock some tight rows on his dome. You have to have a look at this:

Perhaps Sanchez was hoping to have us all forget about the Butt Fumble by bringing attention to his new hair, but that’s not the case.

Nice try, though, Mark. The Butt Fumble is something that you will never be able to live down.
