Rashard Lewis has earned $155,332,815 dollars in salary throughout his career. On the surface, many of you are probably confused as to why he is anywhere near that number, but it isn’t all that crazy when you look at it. Lewis is in his 16th season in the league, he has been on 2 all-star teams, and he is 8th on the all-time 3 pointers made list.

Lewis rode the bench for the Miami Heat last season, but they won the title, which means he finally won a ring after 15 years of playing. Lewis feels vindicated, via HoopsWorld:

"“Even as we start the new season, I’m still extremely excited about winning a championship. I’m still focused on trying to get another one this season, we know we have even more of a challenge this year.  But at the same, I still lie down at night and think about how San Antonio could have easily won that. It was a couple of seconds away from us walking in to the locker room with our heads down. Ball could of went either way and I’m just thankful that Ray was able to hit that three and we were able to send it to overtime to take it to a Game 7.”"

Lewis is a guy who can stretch the floor, and with Mike Miller gone, he has seen an increase in minutes. When it’s all said and done for Lewis, he could climb the 3 pointers list, and will likely be a borderline hall of famer.

When it comes to LeBron James, Lewis says he’s a great teammate:

"“[LeBron gives us] rings, prizes, everything,” Lewis said with a laugh. “We’re playing in Cleveland for Thanksgiving and the whole team is going over to his house for dinner after we play up in Cleveland.  He’s just one of those guys who involves everybody. It’s not just about him, it’s about everybody.”"

Though he will likely be ridiculed for his massive salary numbers, he was a guy who onced averaged 22 points per game for the Sonics, and he was a very good player.

“Oh my gosh, it’s very gratifying, especially after playing for so long,” Lewis said of winning a ring. “Through the ups and downs, being on All-Star teams, having success and getting to the Finals here with the Magic but not winning it, it’s almost like a big relief when you’re able to get over that hump and finally get a championship ring because we all know how hard it is to win. There are a lot of guys that have had great careers and never won a championship. I’m just blessed and happy that I before I retired, I put a ring on my finger.
