We’re getting closer to the end of the season and another exciting week of NFL action wrapped up. This was an incredible exciting week of football. Multiple games game down to the wire. Two games went to overtime this week. The game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Packers ended in a tie. Tom Brady and the New England Patriots out lasted Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in overtime for the win.

A handful of other games ended on last minute drives, including a back and forth affair between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers. Both teams scored touchdowns to take the lead in the final minutes of the game. The Dallas Cowboys beat the New York Giants on a last second field goal.

Titans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick threw a touchdown with seconds left to get the win. Tampa Bay Buccaneers needed a late game interception to seal the win over the Detroit Lions.

So we’re handing out our version of Weekly Awards, and we’ve narrowed it down to the following five categories.

  • Rookie Defensive Player of the Week
  • Rookie Offensive Player of the Week
  • Special Teams Player of the Week
  • Defensive Player of the Week
  • Offensive Player of the Week
