One of the best uniform combinations in the NFL will be returning to the field on Sunday in Week 15, when the Carolina Panthers welcome the New York Jets to Bank of America Stadium.

It was just last week that the Panthers were clobbered by the New Orleans Saints, who were wearing their all-black uniform for the pivotal NFC South game, so perhaps that is what motivated the Panthers to bust out their black-on-black look for this weekend’s meeting with the New York Jets.

Many Panthers fans have been wondering when the look would be making a comeback, and Scott Fowler of the Charlotte Observer shared the good news on Thursday morning:

The Panthers all-black look won NFL.com’s uniform vote in the off-season, but the team has yet to secure a win when going with that uniform combination.

For the Panthers sake, let’s hope they can reverse that trend on Sunday as they look to keep their playoff hopes alive.
