Dallas Cowboys middle linebacker Sean Lee had to leave the game on Monday night against the Chicago Bears after a neck injury. MRI results were positive and it is a muscle issue not a nerve issue. Leaving him with some soreness and stiffness in his neck.

Lee said his neck “is getting better every day.” He said the injury was preventing him from doing his job against the Bears.

“Basically, it’s one of those deals where it locked upon me for about a minute and then it would relax,” said Lee, via the Dallas Morning News. “But every time I hit it would get worse. It got to a point where the neck was so locked up I couldn’t hit and do my job anymore.”

Lee said he’d play through any pain against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

“It’s one of those deals where you’ve got to watch it. But I’m going to play and play through it.”
