There were ten members of the New York Giants that sat out of Wednesday’s practice. According to ESPN,

"The biggest name on the list is wide receiver Victor Cruz, who left Sunday’s game with a concussion and a knee sprain. Coughlin said Cruz was going through the league-mandated concussion protocol but that the knee injury “will probably prevent him from doing anything.” It does not sound as though Cruz can be expected to play Sunday in Detroit."

Also missing the team’s practice was WR Jerrell Jernigan, guards James Brewer and David Diehl, corner backs Terrell Thomas and Trumaine McBride, along with defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins. RB Peyton Hillis is out with a concussion, and safety Cooper Taylor s dealing with a hamstring injury.

Corner back Corey Webster was also placed on the injured reserve list Tuesday.

Right now, the Giants are facing problems depth-wise at some of these positions where the amount of injuries is high. Injuries have just been yet another set back for the Giants this season, who currently have a 5-9 record.
