The Chicago Bears defense may not seem desperate when it comes to the return of Lance Briggs, but it’s something that they need to happen.

With Brian Urlacher out of the picture, Briggs pretty much took over the defense with the help of Julius Peppers, Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings. With a young group of linebackers getting some major playing time with the first team defense, Briggs has been able to coach from the sidelines.

Lance has missed seven weeks when he was supposed to only miss around six, but I guess the extra week could always make a difference even if your team is playing bad defense. The team received some great news today as he returned to a full practice and was medically cleared to play against Philadelphia.

But as Dickerson mentioned in his Tweet, he will be listed as questionable. I’m sure he’s itching to get back onto the field, but the decision will be made depending on how he feels come game time.

The Chicago Bears need Lance Briggs.
