On Saturday morning, we learned that New York Giants safety Will Hill was arrested on a warrant related to child support. Hill was not punished by the team for what they consider “a private, personal matter that he is dealing with” and he was able to travel with the Giants for their Week 16 match up against the Detroit Lions.

According to Sports Illustrated a team spokesman said that Hill is expected to play on Saturday.

This season, Hill has one interception, two forced fumbles and a pass deflection in ten games played. He was the starter for eight of those games.

Having Hill available will help the Giants be as close to full strength as possible as they prepare for the tough challenge of slowing down Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and the team’s passing attack — specifically Calvin Johnson.
