With the New York Jets once again missing the playoffs, there is some uncertainty surrounding head coach Rex Ryan’s future with the team. Whether or not Ryan will be fired is yet to be seen, but he appears to believe that he will not be back next season — at least that is what he is telling his team.

During a meeting on Saturday night, Ryan reportedly told his players that he will be fired after the season and that these will be his final two weeks.

“[Ryan] said ‘guys I got two weeks left here. You guys ride with me, roll with me here and we will see what happens over the next two weeks,” NFL insider Jay Glazer said on the FOX NFL pre-game show.

It may have been a motivation tactic to rally his team together for a strong performance over the last two weeks in hopes of retaining his job, but Ryan may also know that he is going to be gone.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out over the final two weeks of the season.
