Washington Redskins request interview with Perry Fewell

As the Washington Redskins continue to ramp up their search for a new head coach, they have reached out to a NFC East rival. According to reports, the Redskins have requested permission to speak with New York Giants defensive coordinator Perry Fewell.

Last offseason, Fewell did not receive any interest from around the league for a head coaching gig but he has been sought after in the past.

The other candidates for the Redskins head coaching vacancy are Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell, Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott and Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.
