The rivalry between San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks have developed into one of, if not the best, in the NFL.

When the always outspoken Richard Sherman was asked about the rivalry, he didn’t pull any punches.

“There’s no love lost and there’s no love found,” Sherman told Terry Blount of ESPN.com. “I don’t know if there’s going to be handshakes after this one. It’s going to be intense and it’s going to be physical.”

Over the last two seasons, the teams have split four matchups and each have won an NFC West title. The two teams will meet again on Sunday evening with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line.

“I don’t hate anyone,” Sherman said. “But passion, definitely. There’ll be dislike, strong dislike. It’s playoff football, so there’ll be a lot of intensity, anyway, even if we weren’t two teams very familiar with each other. But there’s going to be a lot of chippiness in a hard-fought game. The two best teams in the NFC are the ones that are here.”

The 49ers and Seahawks will kick off at 6:30 pm EST Sunday and the game is on Fox.
