Borussia Dortmund superstar Robert Lewandowski is headed to the Allianz Arena this summer. That brings another quality striker alongside Mario Mandzukic at Bayern Munich.

So how would that affect Mandzukic, and could he be up for sale. Bayern Munich’s president says he is not.

“We are absolutely content with Mario Mandzukic. He has outperformed our expectation and we will keep him at Bayern Munich,” club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said, via Sky Sports.

They’d even go a step further and sign him to a new contract.

“We are willing to sign a new contract with him and I don’t think he would be against those talks,” Rummenigge said.

Since signing Lewandowski and taking him off the market, Mandzukic has become a target for teams looking for help up front. His name has been linked with English Premier League side Arsenal. It looks like Munich won’t give Arsenal a chance to pry him away.
