On Saturday morning, it appeared that the Pittsburgh Steelers were going to get running backs coach Kirby Wilson to remain on the staff after he was removed from consideration for the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator vacancy.

However, just a few hours later it was announced that Wilson will be joining former Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer on the Minnesota Vikings coaching staff.

Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette passed along the news:

Wilson was one of the most loved position coaches from the players and fans, and he was a good friend of head coach Mike Tomlin. His departure will be a big loss for the Steelers.

There is no word on what job Wilson will have on the Vikings coaching staff, but that information should be coming soon.
